A written (electronic) appeal received by a state body, local government body or official in accordance with their competence is considered within 14 working days from the date of registration of the written (electronic) appeal.
In what cases and for which employees is a medical examination mandatory? Who pays for the employee\'s medical examination?
Mandatory medical examinations can be preliminary (upon entry to work), periodic (during employment), extraordinary (for medical reasons), permanent (every working day/shift). Preliminary and periodic medical examinations are required for: - workers entering work in harmful and (or) dangerous working conditions (including underground work). Harmful and (or) dangerous production factors and work, during which mandatory preliminary and periodic medical examinations are carried out - workers entering work related to traffic, - employees of food industry organizations, public catering, trade, water supply facilities, medical organizations and children\'s institutions. Extraordinary medical examinations in accordance with medical recommendations are carried out by: - workers entering work in harmful and (or) dangerous working conditions (including underground work), - workers entering work related to traffic, Medical examinations at the beginning , during and (or) at the end of the working day (shift) are provided for workers engaged in underground work and driving vehicles. If necessary, by decision of local authorities, individual employers may introduce additional conditions and indications for mandatory medical examinations. In all cases, mandatory medical examinations are carried out at the expense of the employer. During preliminary, periodic and extraordinary compulsory medical examinations, workers are released from work, and they retain their average salary, which is calculated based on their earnings for the last 12 months. And the time of medical examinations, which are carried out at the beginning, during and at the end of the working day (shift), is included in working hours, accordingly, payment for the examination time is made as for working time. The employer does not have the right to require medical examinations in cases not provided for by law, as well as to demand payment for mandatory medical examinations at the expense of the employee.
